Exploring the Arts

Williams is known for its strong visual and performing arts, and what better way to make new friends and connect with the campus than making and enjoying art together? Exploring the Arts will give you a taste of everything arts-related that Williams has to offer, and you will meet the amazing students and faculty that share your interests! In addition to participating in workshops led by faculty and student leaders, you will also take in some of the best museums, concerts, and shows in the Berkshires. And in the evenings, get ready for student coffeehouse performances, a pizza party at the Green River, a move night (plenty of popcorn provided), and a dance party at Mass MoCA! After Exploring the Arts, the Purple Valley, and the create, quirky, interesting people that live here will feel like home.

Previous workshops include:

  • Combo Za (student improv group)
  • SpeakFree (student word/performance poetry)
  • Sankofa (step team)
  • Beatboxing
  • Song writing
  • NBC (hip hop dance group)
  • Zambezi (marimba band)
  • Kusika (African dance troupe)
  • The Elizabethans (Renaissance a cappella group)
  • CoDA (contemporary dance)
